This Privacy Policy explains how Ongun Savas
(“we”, “us”), the maker of Commander (the “App”), handles information in
connection with this website and the App.
The short version. Commander is a “bring-your-own-key” desktop app. Your
prompts and session data are sent directly to the AI provider you choose and are
governed by their privacy policy — they do not pass through our servers. Your API
keys and any captured audio stay on your own machine. We do not collect, store, or
use your prompts, session data, or audio, and we never train any AI model on them.
We run no analytics or telemetry. We only receive the limited order information needed to
sell you a license and provide support.
1. Information the website collects
The website itself does not require an account and does not use analytics or tracking
cookies. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may process standard technical logs (such as IP
address and browser type) to serve and secure the site.
2. Information processed by the App
Prompts & session data. When you use Commander, the messages you
send and the Ableton Live session context needed to fulfil them are transmitted to the
AI model provider you have configured — Anthropic (Claude), any
OpenAI-compatible endpoint you point it at (for example OpenAI, Google,
xAI, Moonshot, or a model running locally on your own machine), or Splice
for sample search. This data is handled under that provider's privacy policy. We are not a
recipient of it: we do not receive, store, log, or train on your prompts or session
data.
Your API keys. Keys you enter are stored locally on your device and are
used only to call your chosen provider. They are never sent to us.
Master-bus audio. Commander can record your master output locally so the
model can analyse your mix. That audio is written to a temporary file on your machine.
Any audio sent for analysis goes to your chosen AI provider, not to us.
License key. To activate and validate your purchase, your license key
(and a generated machine identifier) is sent to Lemon Squeezy, our
licensing and payments provider.
3. Purchases
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the
merchant of record for your purchase. When you buy, you provide your
payment and billing details directly to Lemon Squeezy under
their privacy policy.
We receive limited order information — such as your name, email address, country, and order
details — to deliver your license, provide support, and meet our legal obligations. We do
not receive or store your full card details.
4. Third-party services we rely on
Lemon Squeezy — checkout, tax, licensing.
Your chosen AI provider (Anthropic, an OpenAI-compatible service, or Splice) — processes your prompts and session data.
GitHub — hosts the app download and update files.
Vercel — hosts this website.
5. Data retention
We retain order and support records for as long as needed to provide the product, comply
with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. Prompt/session data
retention is determined by the AI provider you choose — see their policy.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the
right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you, and to
object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at
ongunsavas@hotmail.com. For data held by Lemon
Squeezy or your AI provider, please also refer to their respective policies.
7. Children
The App and website are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
